About Kalen
Kalen Covington is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. She works with clients ages fourteen and up on PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and borderline personality disorder. PTSD is where her background runs deepest. She took crisis calls for the Red Cross disaster team and has worked with veterans, military families, and first responders. Trained in EMDR, she leans on DBT and CBT alongside attachment-based and somatic work. She believes deeply in post-traumatic growth, the real capacity to find meaning and resilience after trauma.
Originally from Wilmington, North Carolina, Kalen moved often as a military spouse before her family planted roots in Delaware. She treats therapy as a team effort, with clients as the experts on their own lives. She is an upbeat anime and video game fan whose favorite pick-me-up is a bookstore or manga store. Her Australian shepherd, Aki, gives her a run for her money on every hike.
