About Desiree
Desiree Davis is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Widener University, with a certificate in child advocacy. She works with clients ages ten and up, veterans, first responders, and LGBTQIA+ clients among them, on anxiety, depression, and trauma. Five years in child protection on sexual abuse cases showed her how resilient and honest children can be. Anxiety is her strongest area because she has lived it and found her way through. Trained in EMDR, she keeps her approach strengths-based and collaborative, with solution-focused, play, and art therapy tools.
Born and raised in Delaware, Desiree has spent nearly a decade in the Army Reserves and once worked as an EMT. She wants kids and teens to know that where you come from is not where you have to stay. She lives with three dogs, keeps a scratch-off map of states visited, and is happiest reading or driving her Jeep on the beach.
