About Jessica
Jessica McVey is a Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health who earned her Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Vermont. She works with teens and adults on complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Her deepest work is with survivors of domestic violence, childhood abuse, narcissistic abuse, and sexual violence, and with people who have been unhoused. EMDR trained, she blends trauma-focused, person-centered care with mindfulness, grounding, and somatic practices. Everything is grounded in social justice and the belief that everyone has the right to live safely.
Jessica grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee. At the University of Vermont she met her husband, a Lewes native, and Delaware followed. Summers crewing a schooner in Maine and years of competitive swimming taught her how to work with every kind of personality.
